LOCAL GOVERNMENT
Since incorporation in 1966, the Village of Hillsborough has been governed by an elected Village Council.  Council consists of an elected Mayor and four Councillors—one of which is appointed Deputy Mayor. Village council adopts policies and guidelines, which are managed by the Administrator/Clerk.
COUNCIL
Mayor: Donna Bennett is currently serving in her second term as Mayor (2004-2008), and has served one term as Councillor (2001-2004)
Deputy Mayor:

Grant Woodworth is currently Deputy Mayor.

Patrick Armstrong is currently serving in his fourth term as Councillor (1998-2001, 2001-2004 & 2004-2008).

Danny Jonah is currently serving in his first term as Councillor.

George Forsythe is currently serving his fifth term as Councillor (1992-1995, 1995-1998, 1998-2001 & 2001-2004).
